How you can help Mulege

A day or so ago I posted bank account infomation for folks to use to donate through the Rotary Club. Based on my and others experiences it does not appear that wire transfers are really a viable option. Too much of a hassle and too expensive. SO, Here are two ways you can donate:

1. Use Mike Fleming's paypal account. Click here to do that.
   In the note space, put: "Forward this donation to Mulege Rotary"
   
   
2. Send a check to me at this address BEFORE 9-18-09*:

He is on Rotary's bank account at Bancomer in Mulegé. Most of us know him as Quito.

Mr. Ramon Canett (known as Gallito or “little chicken” in English) is the hospital adminstrator, the fire chief, and treasurer of our Rotary Club. Quito will assist him with disbursing the donations. Quito is last year’s President of our club, assistant fire chief and works at the high school. Both are very trustworthy gentlemen and we are blessed to have them active in our club.

The money will be used to purchase building materials, food, clothing, etc. for those Mexican citizens of Mulegé whom they (Gallito & Quito) determine to be in dire need of assistance.

They will be held accountable for every dollar and have proven to be reliable with accounting for expenditures.

I plan to post an update weekly with results of our fundraising drive. Please send me an email to let me know that you have sent in a donation and indicate if you wish to remain anonymous.
