Sierra Guadalupe and Sierra Zacatecas — More Scenery
Here are more scenery photos from our trip to the Sierras Zacatecas and Guadalupe west of Mulegé, BCS on Nov. 2, 2018. Plant photos can be found here. The account of our trip is on this page.
Ready to go.
Looking northward into the Sierra Guadalupe range.
At Panteón de San Miguel.
Grave markers were freshly painted for Day of the Dead.
Pitstop: time for some politics over a tasty ranch meal.
I found mosses and a fern on the shady slope of this rocky outcrop.
Amazing how dense (and green) the desert vegetation can be here.
Eye level is right about at the horns. A steep hill!
We've crested that steep hill. What a view!
That's the road in front of us, rocky downhill and a sharp curve.
Heading back, the last hill before the Mulegé Valley.
Mulegé Valley just in sight on the far horizon, left side.
